Riverside Practice Building

The Riverside Surgery Patient Participation Group was formed in August 2010. At the moment it is made up of five members all of whom are patients of the practice and give their time on a voluntary basis. The group meets once a month (usually on the first Wednesday) between 3:30pm and 5:00pm

Currently the Participation Group is:

Rick Sexton – Chairman
Simon Petris – Secretary
Donald Davies – Treasurer
Rosemary Harvey – Member
Wendy Derbyshire – Member
Christine Meaden - Member

The purpose of a participation group is to improve communication between the practice and its patients. To find out what the patients think about the services being provided and pass on this information to the doctors and managers so that they can constantly strive to develop a practice that meets the needs of all its patients.

As a group we will regularly seek your views and make sure that the practice knows what you are thinking but if you feel that there is an important issue that needs bringing to our attention we can be contacted through the surgery. Leave your contact details (phone or e-mail) and we can get in touch to find out what it is you want to tell us about.

The Patient Participation Group has completed its first Patient Survey. Between December 2010 to May 2011 we asked patients to fill in a simple questionnaire that asked for some basic patient details and then the answers to two questions:

What do you like about your visits to the
surgery?

How do you think the surgery could be
improved?

90 patients completed the questionnaire and the table below shows what they thought.
